Hand-sewing in Sheepskin - Beginner´s Guide

Course aim:

• Give students the background, theoretical knowledge and practical skills for hand-sewing in sheepskin

• Practice of basic techniques

• Completion of one project.

 

In this class students will learn basic skills to complete their first handcrafted item in sheepskin. 
Topics include:

History

Selection of sheepskins

Equipment for hand-sewing

Stitches & Seams - basic techniques

Participants will make a project on their own,  using their new skills. 

Example of items to choose from: pair of mittens, baby slippers,baby mittens, a teddybear or a small pillow
